Fast moving, foreign intrigue and a race to avoid a catastrophic war and global destruction。 Lots of weapons tech info and a budding love story。 Clancy delivers another novel packed with adventure, and edge of your seat thrills。 Great read。

Kwan L

too many flying details。 more dialogues than story telling。

Once again filling the shoes of the legendary Tom Clancy, Bentley takes us along on an action packed "the world may end" adventure with Jack Ryan。 The serious content is blended with a perfect mix of humor, military knowledge, and even a bit of heart。 Once again filling the shoes of the legendary Tom Clancy, Bentley takes us along on an action packed "the world may end" adventure with Jack Ryan。 The serious content is blended with a perfect mix of humor, military knowledge, and even a bit of heart。 。。。more

Great effort by Don Bentley in his 2nd pinch hit for Jack Ryan Jr series。Good story and really creating a great character- we met many year ago-announced as baby boy coming soon in PATRIOT GAMES。Look forward to the next Don Bentley effort。

My favorite Jack Jr story thus far。 The character is finally coming into his own with purpose and depth, not just someone bumbling his way in and out of misadventures。

Christy

3。5 stars

Too technical for meI enjoy jack Ryan stories but this was very technical and I would lose interest and put down for awhile。 I think unless you are military minded, the words are meaningless。

Good story, not over the top like some of the Cussler books I've read lately。 Good story, not over the top like some of the Cussler books I've read lately。 。。。more

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest Jack Ryan Jr。 novel。While Jack Ryan Jr。 is in Seoul, South Korea to interview a potential addition to The Campus, his visit takes a deadly turn when violence caused by North Koreans breaks out。 War threatens to engulf the Korean peninsula, Jack races to discover the meaning behind an ominous one-word text sent by an unknown North Korean contact: "Run"。The novel was very suspenseful and full of action。 I thoroughly enjoyed this latest Jack Ryan Jr。 novel。While Jack Ryan Jr。 is in Seoul, South Korea to interview a potential addition to The Campus, his visit takes a deadly turn when violence caused by North Koreans breaks out。 War threatens to engulf the Korean peninsula, Jack races to discover the meaning behind an ominous one-word text sent by an unknown North Korean contact: "Run"。The novel was very suspenseful and full of action。 。。。more

Least favorite book in the series。This book had a more of a technical Manuel feel, in my opinion。 The story had less on Jack, the main character as well。 It was a hard read for me and I have read all the other books in the series。

K Saju

Good one, worth a read。 The fights were well planned and detailed。

Suzana

The author delivers a dramatic adventure full of shady politics, hard-hitting action, impossible situations, and an overall plot that, in some ways, feels all too probable given the state of today's world。 The author navigates Jack's and Lisanne's relationship flawlessly。 Moreover, the action in the plot is unrelenting, and the smart, foreshadowing plot involving North and South Korea gives the book a timely feel。 The author delivers a dramatic adventure full of shady politics, hard-hitting action, impossible situations, and an overall plot that, in some ways, feels all too probable given the state of today's world。 The author navigates Jack's and Lisanne's relationship flawlessly。 Moreover, the action in the plot is unrelenting, and the smart, foreshadowing plot involving North and South Korea gives the book a timely feel。 。。。more

#31 in the Tom Clancy series lineup and #9 in the Jack Ryan Jr order is another fast-paced read from beginning to end。 When Jr goes to Seoul to interview a potential Campus operative, the North Korean leader simultaneously becomes incapacitated in an accident, setting off a Dead Man Switch of sleeper agents in the South’s capital, wreaking havoc and setting off a tinder box of violence intended to reunite the South with the North。 As usual, Jack Jr is thrust in the middle of the action and a voi #31 in the Tom Clancy series lineup and #9 in the Jack Ryan Jr order is another fast-paced read from beginning to end。 When Jr goes to Seoul to interview a potential Campus operative, the North Korean leader simultaneously becomes incapacitated in an accident, setting off a Dead Man Switch of sleeper agents in the South’s capital, wreaking havoc and setting off a tinder box of violence intended to reunite the South with the North。 As usual, Jack Jr is thrust in the middle of the action and a voice from the North calls to him but can he trust her? The region and its fate hangs in the balance as the drama plays out。 Another great addition to this series! 。。。more

I usually wind up listening to the audiobook, but I actually read this one myself and oh how I enjoyed it。 The audiobooks are good but I think reading it myself had a greater intensity because I was solely focused on the story。 There are definitely tense moments and I kept having to tell myself to relax as I was afraid I would break my Kindle with how strongly I was gripping it。 Read my full review at Girl Who Reads I usually wind up listening to the audiobook, but I actually read this one myself and oh how I enjoyed it。 The audiobooks are good but I think reading it myself had a greater intensity because I was solely focused on the story。 There are definitely tense moments and I kept having to tell myself to relax as I was afraid I would break my Kindle with how strongly I was gripping it。 Read my full review at Girl Who Reads 。。。more

We’re absolutely blessed having a wonderful set of legacy authors carrying on the Tom Clancy, Jack Ryan Universe…Don Bentley’s “Zero Hour” has Jack Jr。 in South Korea trying to add an asset to the Campus, when he finds himself in the middle of a North Korean power struggle that could launch WW III…Huge page-turning thriller that’s nearly impossible to put down…Loved It!!!
